Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal Award Ceremony

A Diamond Jubilee Medal in commemoration of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II reign, was presented to members of the security force and emergency response agencies – Jamaica Defence Force, Jamaica Constabulary Force, Jamaica Fire Brigade, Correctional Services and Ministry of Health.

One Hundred and thirty-two (132) members of the Fire Brigade who have met the criterion of twenty-five (25) years service received this award.  The formal award ceremony was held on Friday 14th December, 2012   at King's House and was hosted by Their Excellencies The Governor General and The Most Hon. Lady Allen.

The Commissioner along with nine (9) other members representing a cross-section of the Jamaica Fire Brigade received their awards. The remaining one hundred and twenty-two (122) members of the Brigade were presented their medals at a ceremony held on Wednesday January 30, 2013 by the organization.
